Sample Recipe
Clam Chowder
- 1 dozen clams
- 3 ounces salt pork
- 2 quarts boiling water
- 3 large potatoes
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 5 chowder crackers
- salt and pepper to taste
Cut pork in small pieces and brown. Dice potatoes, cut onions
into small pieces. Add water and seasoning, and boil 1 hour. Now add juice
of clams and boil 1/2 hour. Add chopped clams and boil 20 minutes longer. Dust
with paprika. Serve with crackers.
